Interactions[ | ]
- Contrary to the card name, this doesn't actually transform the minion; it destroys it and summons a Wraithling. Thus, it will proc Dying Wish effects. However, summoning the Wraithling is part of the spell's resolution, and it will block any Dying Wish that involves summoning a unit on the space the original unit died, effectively canceling the targeted unit's ability. Examples include Ancient Grove and Reaper of the Nine Moons.
- If you’re playing an Abyssian Trial deck and you control a Shadowdancer and cast Dark Transformation on your opponent’s minion next to their Sunriser, you will progress your trial by 1 because you cast a spell which caused your new 1/1 Wraithling to die because Shadowdancer's heal procs Sunriser too.
