Destroy all artifacts on the enemy General.
Strategies
While a powerful effect, Artifact Defiler is never played for several reasons. First, it is niche; if the enemy General does not have an artifact equipped, it cannot be played. This often makes it a "dead card" a card that does nothing but sit in your hand. Second, the card does little to advance a gameplan. Lastly and most importantly, Songhai has several more flexible means of destroying artifacts: Four Winds Magi, Bloodrage Mask, Phoenix Fire, Battle Panddo among other cards effectively damage artifacts as well inflict as damage to the enemy.
Trivia
In a key tournament match, Zayne acquired an Artifact Defiler from Sworn Sister L'Kian's Opening Gambit. Using Artifact Defiler, Zayne removed the opponent's artifact, allowing him to safely push for lethal. Following this match, Zayne proceeded to win the tournament to become a Duelyst Grandmaster.
