Strategy[ | ]

A staple in Abyssian swarm decks. Though understatted for her mana cost, the Bloodtide Priestess is an awesome value generator if not immediately taken into due account. This card can single-handedly replenish your board when all your swarm gets killed by an AoE which does not eliminate also the Priestess, since her Deathwatch ability will generate a new Wraithling for each destroyed minion. The effect also works when enemy minions are killed, but notice that the Priestess must have at least one free tile around her to be able to summon a wraithling. As such, it is better to position the Priestess carefully, by ensuring she has enough space to maximize her Deathwatch ability, while being protected by the opponent's threats. Notice that the summoned wraithlings are an excellent tool to keep the opponent away from your Priestess, especially because any killed wraithling will be immediately replaced by another one, thus making the Priestess hard to remove via melee attacks.
